Let’s pee on the island of Brač
Contents
Croatian islands, it is hard to say which one is more beautiful than the next. Whether you arrive by ferry from the mainland, by yacht from the sea, or by plane from the air—the view is stunning either way. Once you arrive there, you are surrounded by astonishing views. Everything feels relaxing, peaceful, and serene. Like something out of a postcard.

We were on Brač a long time ago, and back then we arrived by yacht from the seaward side. I still remember that sense of serene peace as we approached the island.
This time we arrived by car, taking the ferry from Split to Supetar on the island of Brač.
Interestingly, women hold all the key positions in Supetar!
The mayor, the head of the tourist board, the school principal, and the chief physician.

Our dear friend Andrea was staying on the island of Brač and invited us to come and spend a few days with her. A Summer trip to the seaside aren’t exactly my husband’s cup of tea, yet he said “YES!” without hesitation! And indeed, just think of what we would have missed had we not gone!
It was three wonderful days. We stayed in Sumartin and visited the stonemasonry school in Pučišća; Selca – the place with the largest number of monuments per capita in Croatia; a wonderful restaurant accessible only from the sea and an elderly lady who prepared for us a cardboard box full of newly ripened vegetables from her garden. 🥒🍅🥬🧅
And of course, I had to pee along the way. 🙈🤷🏼♀️😂😂
Toilet number 1 – A very clean and tidy toilet, and I was especially surprised by the basket of toiletries! 🙃🤩🤗☺️Unusual. Bravo!!👏🏼👌🏼😀.

Everything was there! You can lock the door, hook for a bag or whatever, cosmetics as a last-minute lifesaver, clear sign not to put rubbish in a toilet seat. Everything what a woman needs 😍
Even a man without a head!! 🙈🤦🏼♀️😂😂

Toilet number 2 – A very clean & tidy toilet – AGAIN 👌🏼😀
Toilet number 3 – Clean & tidy …. I’m repeating myself 😖🙊🙉, but they are 😀
You already know I don’t like having to use stairs to get to the restroom. I would really love it if all toilets were easily accessible to everyone with walking difficulties.

Simple but clear signs for woman’s & man’s toilet!

They’ve got everything: lock, hook, even a live plant!

They may not be very imaginative when it comes to toilet signage, but kudos to the beauty products provided in the ladies’ toilets – they deserve credit for that.

Toilet number 4 – The last toilet before we took the ferry to the mainland. I didn’t need to pee! I just liked the sign, so I took a photo of it. ☺️

The trip to the island of Brač was a short one, so is this blog! 🤷🏼♀️😀
The sea was crystal clear, transparent, turquoise, and beautiful. The air was clean and smelled of the sea and pine trees. So were the toilets! They were also clean and tidy, with plenty of toilet paper, the key in the lock, and the toiletry products every woman needs. They’re a bit shy about marking the toilets—doing it the old-fashioned way, simply and without much hassle. But hey, you can’t have it all! People there are so laid back. They know what they’ve got! And what you see is what you get!
They sit gazing out at the sea, a glass of wine in hand; their main mantra is:
Ma ‘ko to more platit??!! – Who on earth can afford this?? It’s priceless !!
