Hi, my name is Snježana, married to the almost best husband in the world, mother of two sons, great guys, and recently with a dog. I’m always hungry and always looking for the loo!
I am a horticulturist and I’ve been working as such in Croatia, Australia, back again in Croatia, currently hold a garden centre in Istria.
I like people, like getting to know new people, listening to their stories, sharing my stories with them. I like spending time with my friends, having laughs with them.
Wherever I’ve lived I find female soulmates, with totally different origins, languages, different backgrounds, culture, skin color, single mothers, many times married (finally happily!). All of them very strong women, hardworking, persistent, fighters, and all of them with same hopes, wishes, worries…..
To be honest each of them deserve a story to be written about, yet I’ve decided to write about toilets! ????
Somehow, I think this topic would be interesting to them and maybe some of them will find themselves in one story or hopefully some story will be helpful to them, to her. Or if you are lucky I might share one her story.
I spent 43 years with my hubby, nine as my boyfriend, the rest as my worse half. Well, I’m his better half, as we say in Croatia. We live together, we work together, we holiday together, we experience new things together, so we decided to share this blog together.
Our two sons slowly taking over family business, which gives us more time to travel around, to explore different food, wine and obviously more toilets. The lates drives me crazy sometimes!
I’ve been complaining about toilets a lot, no offense to anyone, but in some places is a challenge to pee or poop for that matter.
Anyway, I’m 60 now and I believe with my life experience, ups and downs, economical and other crises that I’ve put aside, I should be allowed to say my peace.
For over a year now I grow my silver hair! From my golden age I stepped so firmly into my platinum age. And I am very proud of that.

My name is Srđan, and yes hi.
I did a full circle. I was born in Pula, Istria-Croatia, lived good part of my life in Zagreb, where I finished my study, got married and my first son, then went to Australia and after 10 years of living down under, where I got my second son I moved with my family back to Istria, to Poreč to be precisely.
I am a horticulturist and the owner of a small Garden centre in Poreč, Croatia. I travel quite regular to Italy and Spain. I’ve worked from the first day with my wife Snježana and since I started in 1989, until today with our sons Sven and Ian.
As long my professional career is, much longer is my love for good food and wine.
I like eating, drinking and cooking. I drink water, wine, beer, coffee and malt whisky.
I am always ready for bubblies, like Champagne or Prosecco but this is where my love for CO2 stops.
I do not eat any fast food.
I believe in home cooking!
