Thank you to my friends and followers
Contents
This blog is dedicated to my friends and followers, as a BIG THANK YOU who are so kind to read my blogs, comment on them, talk to me about them, tell me what I should do better, differently….. but most of all I am grateful for sending me photos of the toilets from their travels. Even though they are on vacation, they remember my blog, take photos, send me pictures. You have to admit that it is an effort on their part and I want to thank them and publish their photos. ????????
Zdenka & Maurizio S. – my biggest and first fans ❤️????
We went on many trips together with our friends Zdenka and Maurizio. Every time they would listen to my complaints, but also my praises about the toilets. We were even sitting together in a coffee shop when I first mentioned that I should write a blog. They’ve been with me ever since. They would send me reports, photos, comments about the toilets from their trips……

Maurizio’s comment on the toilet in Naples: I had to lean my back against the door, how small and narrow the space is. Of course, there’s no toilet paper or toilet seat.????????☹️????
Maurizio’s comment about the toilet in Tunisia, photos below : picture does not describe odour and wet floor.
My comment: I am not sure that I can see a toilet paper! ???????? But a toilet unclog is there!????

They were in Marseille, France. In a bar-restaurant they couldn’t use the toilet because they hadn’t eaten. They had two coffees, two glasses of wine and one pancake. That wasn’t enough to use the toilet!!???????????? So they went to another bar…
Their comment: only one toilet, male-female. Clean but small, equipped with toilet paper, a seat and a sink dimension 15 x 35 cm!????

Photo: January 2025. Marseille, France My comment : It looks like “mirror, mirror on the wall” it’s not my size (read: height) ????????

They were very impressed with a bathroom at the gas station, near Verona. Very futuristic

Photo from the internet: got it from Zdenka…….????????????….. it says:….
Don’t swing it around!! It’s not a fire hose. So you wouldn’t wave a rag. Shoot a hole!!! Love you MOM
They went on a walking trail in Istria, Croatia. At the end of the trail were very surprised….
They were so pleased when, after walking 5 km, they came across a newly built toilet. And the bar of course ☕????????????

I have already used these photos taken by Maurizio in Bratislava, Slovakia in my previous blog about toilet’s decorations.

Vesna J.
My dear friend Vesna J. was so keen on sending me photos that since I started with my blog where ever she goes she sends photos. From her vacation in Morocco she sent me two toilets with completely different looks as you can see.
That was one very old and poorly maintained toilet somewhere on her way through Morocco……

…….. and a very decorated one.

There is an opsesion about mirrors on these walls. Other than that it is a very fensy, modern, clean toilet.

Vesna J. took this photo in a Museum of Pula, sometimes this year.
When she went on a tourist visit to the Raša mine in Istria, she recorded a lady guide explaining how the toilets in the mine work, so it will be easier for me to write. Come on, you have to love her for that!????❤️

Toilet in the Raša mine
The story about peeing and ????in the mine goes : on each horizon-level, there was a toilet in the most secluded place. In Raša mine was about 20 horizons-levels. Miners could do a number one anywhere, but they did a number two,????, in those buckets that you can see in the picture. They emptied the buckets into a cart and took them out of the mine. It was a well-paid job and less dangerous, so the miners competed for this job.
At first they didn’t have buckets underneath, they would just squat down and ????, but that wasn’t good because of the gases that were created and could stun the miners. Some records say that there were even deaths from these gases. Then they raised the toilet, put a bucket underneath and from then on everything worked as it should.

And the last three photos from Vesna show the Labin urinal, Croatia

Lina V.
Friend of a friend – Lina V. She must have read some of my blogs on Facebook and somehow got hooked! Thanks Lina for reading them. Anyway, she started sending photos to my friend, so my friend Sabrina sent them to me. These are those photos.

Don’t be fooled!
This is NOT a vegan-only toilet.
As my friend Sabrina explained to me, there’s a meaning to these doors: In colloquial Italian, Italians call the female genitalia a potato, Italian: “patata”. The male genitalia is called a pea, Italian: “pisello”. That’s why these doors have completely unusual toilet signs.
Brilliant !!!
Suzana & Zdenko Ž.
My friends only took picture of the entrance to the bathroom because they liked it. But they were too shy to take pictures of the inside of the toilet. I hope to get a whole collection of pictures from them next time. I mean the pictures of the toilet, of course????????.

Peter. K
My Australian friend Peter K. was on a trip to South America when he read one of my toilet blogs and yes, he sent me a photo!???? Thanks mate!

Sven R.
Even my son Sven sent me a photo from Karlovac Castle in Croatia. It reminded me of the toilets in the villages around Zagreb, where my father’s family used to live. Fifty years ago they had an outdoor toilet next to the pigsty ????????????????????… it was a nightmare to go to the toilet. But those toilets are for another story…..

Mirna B.
By the way, Mirna sent me a message that her favourite wall decoration is this photo⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

She has supported me since day one. Thank you for that. ????
Andrea B.
My dearest friend from Zagreb – Andrea couldn’t resist and sent me a screenshot from Facebook – she said: “For the collection!” ????????

Once again, thank you all for your support and kind words for what I’m doing. ❤️????
